trans fluid coming from passenger half shaft

hello all I just swapped out my transmission on my 2001 3.8l grand prix and replaced both half shafts problem is I had to also swap out the out put shaft because for some reason the used trans I bought had different splines on either side now it looks like while I'm driving trans fluid is just spraying out from where the half shaft goes is there a seal that I might have missed when putting it back together? any help would be appreciated thano you

if you changed the output shaft the new axles may not be the same size, and the seals are leaking now?

or you damaged them while working on it, or they were dried out when you got it. new seals seem to be in order no matter what tho.

the shafts are correct now but I didn't see any seals when I replaced the output shaft there is no leak on the drivers side only the passenger side. this was my first time

For ur reference here's what the seals look like..

They only cost like 8 bucks

you are awesome I thought that was it I just wasn't sure thanks so much for the picture.....just out of curiosity driving twenty miles would enough transmission fluid pour out of there to have to add a quart or two?

It depends on how bad the leak is. And the old seal don't be afraid to get ruff with it...I had to

Ok this weekend I will rip it all apart again lol I hope this will solve the problem which it should that'd the only place I see a mass amount of fluid

you should fix the seals asap, if you run dry the trans could die. or leave you stuck on the side of the road.

trans fluid will kill your driveway or parking spot too.

Also I dunno if this applies to gt and gtp's but I ended up having to buy my seal from the dealer for 8 bucks cause the one all the auto part stores sold were wrong...in the pic one on left is the correct one from dealer and right one is what all the auto parts stores carried

yeah I will rip it apart tomorrow I'm unable to tonight but I won't let it run dry lol I carry a gallon of fluid with me just in case haha I hope auto zone doesn't give me the wrong seal I only ha've on vehicle and I'm I've 20 miles from work so I kinda need to fix this quick no time for the dealer

dealerships have a parts department, you tell them what you need just like a parts store. truth is better then a parts store, but you pay more usually, 8 bucks a seal dont sound to bad tho.
