Tranny Stopped working today. Couple ??'s

I was told my tranny is shot, nursed it to a shop. No longer engages at all almost.

I haVE a 2000 gtP WITH 160,000 ON IT. this will be my first major repair on the car and first ever tranny repair

I am looking for insight into either getting a used one or rebuilding the one I got. I happen to have an aquaintance who owns a shop. Said he would charge me $ 500 for the labor to put a used one in(i provide)

Anyone know what i am looking at $$ for a used tranny

Or, would I be better served to have the one rebuilt.

I would def. stick with a used one then. Check out eBay Store - Morad Parts Company co. Ed Morad 3.8 3800 L67 L36 L32 L26: For a used transmission. He's the top seller of 3800 parts and has almost anything you would need. Just look for a used transmission on there. Make sure it came out of a s/c application though.

yep..already happened across that EBay Site....looks like $500 or so for a used one plus the shipping so i will go that road unless I can find one locally tomorrow
