My daughter's grand prix se 3.1 auto does like a jumping thud when giving it the gas hard. like thud thud and drives on no porblems. just from a hard start. Maybe motor mounts and tranny mount? please help me out.

wheel hop? not getting traction? any thing to correct it. It doesn't seem right , it did to me from a stop medium exceleration. car had been running a while, so it wasn't cold. any corrections maybe?

4T65E Transmission Info

Around the middle of the page you will find some info on this. Some guys get lucky (for a few weeks) by replacing the filter, fluid, and addint Lubegard Red or Lucas transmission additive but that is not a fix and rather is just a bandaid to possibly prolong its life.
