Im going to assume its an Auto....

Sounds like a band or valve body issue. Transmission time.

Pull the trans dipstick...red, or dirty brown and foul smelling?

Brownish not too bad and little smell. But turn on 2nd gear start and it drove and shifted fine just won't move when off
