Traction Control Won't Shut Off

i had the same problem, it was just the switch, picked up a new one at the dealer and it worked fine ever since

x2^. they get dirty where there located. could probably remove the top of the button and clean the junk out.

So how do you remove the button or get to its underworkings?

By removing the center console.

had same problem with a 07 i took the top of the button out with a small flat head cleaned out all the crap around it works perfect now thanxs!!

on going problem in my car the location of the button is beside the cup holder right? **** gets into the switch and screws it up, i just finished moving mine only took about an hour. buy a basic push button contact switch remove the gear select lever handle then center console, 4 bolts beside seats, pull hard on the back unclip wiring harness c. console will come out if the back touches the roof u may need 2 ppl. the brown and the black wire are the ones you want the grey and black is for the light, 2 wks later still dosnt shut off sometimes in the morning?

Or you can just put the car in gear to get the shifter back farther lol
