Traction Control Problems

I did a search and saw a couple posts I'm gonna look into for the traction light coming on and the going off but I was wondering if the fact the dealer put the same size tires on it all the way around could affect it also. I'm taking it back into the dealer I bought from next week and was wondering if anyone had any insight on this.

Not on a GXP.

Rims are 18x8 and 18x7 so the tires are 255/45/18 and 225/50/18. I've seen people run 245/45/18's all around and be fine.

Right, but I was gathering by his username that he does not have a GXP.

EDIT: Just realized where this was posted, then searched his other posts and he does have a GXP, but like you said, tire size doesn't matter in this case.

That's what I kinda figured. I was more or less thinking it might be the wires going into the hubs seeing how the light triggers at random times, more so when making sharp turns.

yeah in that case pull the plugs, clean them, dab some di electrical grease on the plug ends, work that in some. and inspect your wires along the lca's for damage.

if all that checks out it could be a hub is bad.

you can check the hub buy jacking up the wheel, leave the lugs tight, and push and pull the top of the tire, to feel for play. a soft push/pull works best.

If you still have this problem I had the same problem and had brand new hubs...it turned out that one of the wires that runs out of the hub had come loose in the connection...just push it back in and a very small dab of epoxy will hold it

On my '05 the TC light would come on at slow speeds and sometimes engage slightly - I had 2 bad front wheel bearings.
