TPS Out

My car has been revving kind of high before shifting at times. It almost always happens when I'm pulling away from a dead stop but it will also shift kind of roughly while I'm driving at faster speeds although this is less common. One single time it wouldn't go at all even allowing the car to stop completely and accelerating again. Transmission fluid is full and I just replaced the fluid and filter about 6 months ago so I don't think it is that. I was wondering if it may be the throttle position sensor. Anyone else think it might be something different?

Most likely TPS. Your computer doesn't know where your throttle is. Easy and inexpensive to fix. If yours is the adjustable type it could have just slipped.

What year is your car? If it's an 04+, the TPS is part of the TB assembly which means you would have to buy the TB.

I have a 97-03 it comes off the TB with two of those special pain-in-the-ass Torx screws that I happen to have a screw driver for. I'll replace it and see if that fixes the problem. Thanks guys!
