TPS janky

Recently tuned the 08'GXP, did some data logging last night to figure out why I was throwing a P1516 (TAP CEL). Found out my TPS @ idle is 22%, also found out that at WOT I'm not even passing through 81-82% TPS. Now I'm new to the tuning world but what does this mean in terms of power loss? The shop who did the data logging said I'm running way rich under these conditions however I don't notice that the car is idling faster or has any significant power loss at WOT. Can anyone kind of explain how this impacts the car performance?

I'm guessing that as long as your TB is physically opened 100% and the PCM is reading past 40%, it will still go into PE mode and lower your AFR.

The impacts I think might be on the shift points, but I'm still not sure about that.

I had a similar problem on my 98GTP when I changed the TB. It would register 14% TP at idle.

I finally found out how to reset the TP:

open switch for 5 seconds
close switch
derpess gas pedal completely
open switch for 5 seconds
close switch

repeat this several times, if you do it while scanning the car you can actually see how the TP% will start getting lower until it reaches 0%.

That was for a 98 GTP tough. Not sure if it will still work on hte 08 gxp, but I guess it's worth a try.
