Tourque converter circut stuck on?

:(Hey My 98 GTP has a code *P0742* "Torque converter circut stuck on"

What exactly does this mean? And is it a simple fix or a complicated one??:th_nervous:

Stuck TCC switch, how long since the last service?( filter/fluid/gasket).

You might be able to clean it by adding seafoam, but id get the switch replaced. around 800 at a dealer..... someone on here might know more though.
 
$800, ouch.. thats half way to a rebuilt tranny... I did a filter change not too long ago, like 2000 km, or so... what is this "seafoam" I keep hearing about? never heard of it before this site
 


Mail order it, I dont think ive ever heard of anyone in canuckville using or having access to it.


The S-10 guys with their 4.3's swear by the can of wonder. the 4.3 makes our 3.8 carbon look non existant.
