tourqe wrench for supercharger

hey guys where the hell do u find a inch lbs wrench for such low ratings. ive looked everywhere and there all 100+

only thing u need to worry about torquing on these cars is heads.. just get it hand tightened equally on all bolts. i never torqued mine all the times i had my blower off.

oh ok, so just snug on all the intake, blower and snout bolts? i thought it needed to be torque cause of the aluminum gaskets. but if u guys say snug works ill just do that.

snout to blower case is like 10-15 ft lbs

and blower to LIM, i would just do the cross pattern, like you do with wheels and start from the middle and go out.

and very snug should do just fine, to make sure the gasket is on good.

did u have your snout off? what did u use to reseal if u did take it off?

i wanted to remove the rotors for all the grinding and welding i needed to do to get the intake to clear the firewall of the camaro. i need something to reseal? i thought it didnt use gaskets.

yes u need to use anaerobic sealer!!!! it will leak if u dont use it... and from what i understand thats teh only thing that will seal it up.. its like 7 bucks a bottle and i used 2 bottles on mine.

lmk where i can get some of that stuff, i was thinking of using the right stuff but if it needs to be that in specific ill get it.

most any parts store will have it.. i got mine from oreillys... they have a activator ur sposed to use but i didnt use it and have had no problems with it yet. when i originally took snout off i didnt use anything to re-seal... on WOT pulls i kept smelling oil burning... thought it was rear VC gasket.. replaced it and it still had burning smell... closer inspection on rear of snout showed a very small leak that was spraying out S/C oil onto my headers. just go by directions and tighten immediately after attaching snout... it dries in the absence of air.

Hold the phone CAM...and whoever else...

Only thing I NEVER torqued was the blower to the LIM...or the bolts that bolt everything to the blower, eg. rotor pack and snout. Everything else...including the LIM, which is IIRC, 12 ft.lbs...is important. It is aluminum...it can warp or distort if you over torque it, thus creating a vacuum leak situation. Also...use PFTE paste on the threads of the LIM bolts...after you clean them.

My 2 cents.
