I work with fibers and what not....
as long as you have the bracket part that broke off, should of stayed connected to the hood latch.

Working with fiberglass isnt the same as carbon I dont know what you have planned with damaged hood but the entire top layer at the very least would have to be replaced because patching it with new carbon would be very tough to get the weave to match. IMO it would be good for making smaller parts for the engine compartment or interior. It you can actually get the guy to sell it. :th_thumb-up:

If you want the hood pay for it plus boxing and shipping to michigan. Then you can fix the hood striker that was cut in half by the latch.

how much would you want for it. even if its not fixable that using it for carbon is a great idea. :th_thumb-up:

If KwazrollinZ28GTP doesn't get it for some reason let me know where in Kansas you are and what your asking and I might drive up and get it... Think I would go the cheap fix route and just paint it after a fiberglass repair and maybe leave some carbon stripes under my color somewhere. Looking great so far BTW!!!

Sadly for you I came home yesterday & found that my dad threw out the hood. By now it's sitting in a landfill.

I did however finish peicing the car together yesterday. And here it is covered in 2 months of dust for all to see :th_biggrin2::th_biggrin2::th_biggrin2:

Today I heard from my dad that the bank we use never sent us the title to the car after it was paid off, back in late September. This on top of us just finding a letter from insurance that states we had 30 days to salvage title the car or its a misdemeanor. So I won't be driving the car for at least another 2 weeks because the titlework has to be sent off & taken care of. On top of that I brok the ignition switch in the 89' F-150 I'm driving. Now I have to start it with pliers attatched to the starter rod. FML. . .
