"Torque differential score retard"

I just noticed that this setting under "Torque Management/Spark/Torque differential score retard" is set to (13) in the file that is currently on my car. I noticed in Jerry's notebook it should be set to (4) and have seen in some files it is set to (0).

Question is: Does anyone know what this does? Also, could it be part if the issue of why I can't seem to add any timing past 14* with the amount of mods I have?

Doesn't that fall under the abuse category? One of the .. don't give us torque that'll rip the diff in half.

x2... pretty sure thats in the abuse area aswell... ill do some looking too but make sure you find the right info before messing with something like that...

Yeah it is under Torque Management>Spark and in the same table with the other torque abuse parameters but I am wondering if this is set too high it will kill timing.

Example: Mine was set at 13 but Jerry says it should be at 4. Which would take away less spark under torque abuse situations I would think?. Anyone?

I have never found a car that would "not let me add timing".....

logs? Any DTCs? Have you tried overkilling the timint (adding 10 degrees or something) to see if you get anything?

I should rephrase that. I can't add more than 14* of timing without getting KR. With my mods it seems pretty impossible that I should be getting any knock at 14*.

I just went for a run with and increase to about 18* but I am getting 3* of knock up top. This is on a 3.6 pulley on a Gen V with a IC and 1.9 rockers.

Something is wrong and I can't figured it out. Will get some scans.

Well either it had something to do with the:

-AFR Spark Modifier table- Which I zeroed out
-TCC Spark Advance Correction- Which I zeroed out
-The EBCM- I disconnected the connector which basically disables ABS and Traction Control.

OR possibly something else I did that I don't know I did intentionally but now it seems I was able to add more timing.

Gotta lover Monte Carlo tuning.
