Torque converter ?

Are you sure it's the converter leaking and not something else?

If the bushing in the torque converter is trashed it will definately leak regardless of the seal. The torque converter seal itself is typically the last thing to cause a seal in the converter area. In a few rare cases I have found cracks in the converter body near a weld which was found by pressure testing the converter. It wont leak until the car is running, but that is how a bad bushing will act also.

that is exactly what its doing. Because it was leaking on my olds transmission and i put it on the new one and it leaked but not as bad as it did on the old one. So basically if the converter is cracked or bad bushing it will only leak when you cut the car on

That is correct for either scenario. If there is a crack it will be a very small one and when the car is running there is high pressure inside the torque converter and will force the fluid through the crack. If the bushing is bad it is going to leak for the same reason and also because of the excess clearance between the converter bushing and the support shaft it will have a lot of fluid leaking there that cant drain back into the trans fast enough and will blow through the front seal.
