Torca exhaust clamps, yo.

Does anyone know how well these work and if they will fit the PaceSetter exhaust? Im thinking of getting a pair and using them on the y-pipe.

1540 posts and you haven't encountered a header install? :th_laugh-lol3:

Any of the band clamps work great.

I've encountered plenty of header threads, thank you. I only want to know if the Torca clamps will fit PaceSetters. It was a simple yes or no question.

Actually, I ran into a helluva problem with my pacesetters. If you're trying to put these on the downpipe piece, you can only get one overlapping band clamp on the driver-side tube. You have to find another way to do the other side. I used a two wire monster clamp er sum **** i found at Autobone. A ton of headaches and some RTV later, I sealed my exhaust.

The problem you run into with the band clamps is the passenger side tube on the downpipe before the "Y"...(rear header), has the merge collector too close to where it goes into the Y to put a wide clamp on.

Hope this helps.

Darn, I had planned on putting both on right at the y-pipe cuz that's where my leak is. The clamps are 2.75" through Intense.

I'm thinking maybe I should scrap the whole idea of fixing these PaceSetters and get me some stainless headers.

I used a 2.5" overlapping band clamp on the driver side pipe. There's a walker part number and you can order them through o'Really's. The part number is 33226.

I'll find a picture of the other clamp if I can. The biggest thing is you have to find a clamp that is shorter than a band clamp (width), but will still fit in between the Y on the downpipe.

Also, the 3-bolt flange gasket is the same as most SBC header collector gaskets. You can pick them up at any parts store in the performance section. Get some good stainless bolts and RTV, along with at least one band clamp and some other clamp for the other side, and you'll love life. Mine are so quiet...I can't believe I didn't fix them earlier.

I might see if i can snap some pictures of them for ya

Yeah snap me some pics. I'll go ahead and try the Torca clamps cuz I already ordered them. If I can only get one clamp on then I know what to do thx :)

I used the band clamp without the steel inserts!!!
Actually bought some a installed them and noticed i still had a horrible leak at the Y pipe,so after a couple of month of hearing that i decided to go at it again,
With RTV and the band clamps without the spacer/Insert/whatever u may call them,Be very friendly with the RTV...lol Slide the clamps about midway of where the header and Y pipe connect, and get to work very, tight non the less and u will have to keep going back and forth tightening both sides numerous times.
FYI it can be done just gotta find the sweet spots =P....maybe ill take pics if i get out there for and idea

FYI-The band clamps i used actually have a center insert kinda C shaped on both side, that is what i removed
Like these for example
