My main question is will I get kr on a stock topswap setup? I plan to topswap in the next 2 weeks. When its done it would have a cai and 2.5 catless dp full 2.5 exhaust. Obviously I will have to get it scanned and tuned but is their more I should do to it to ensure it wont get kr? Its going to be on a l26
 


Its all up in the air right now. I wanna get everything I need first to do it. I want it to be a 2-3 day project now a whole week. Taking suggestions right now
 
I think this project will be much more successful if you ditch the downpipe and go with headers. It's well worth the peace of mind, and will also open the door to future modding. You might be able to get away with just a downpipe, but when the car is tuned, the AFR will need to be richer or the timing will need to be reduced to eliminate the KR. This won't be good for performance.

Don't put too much thought/money into the intake system. A cone on the throttle body works great. CAI kits for this platform look cool, but performance wise, they are mostly a placebo.
 
I personally.... Top swap it, with a GenV. You would be wasting time hardcore with Gen3... Cause you'll just want to swap it out at a later date anyways.

Would also, get a new Set of SD headers.. Cause downpipes/plogs are also a waste of time. ^what he said is a good idea for an intake (unless you already have a CAI or some crap)

I would run a stock pulley. UNTILL you have a way of scanning the bish. aeroforce. tqpro, whatever floats your boat.

If money allows, i'd pick up a set of rocker's
 


I have a cone filter setup already so im set on that. For now im gonna go with the dp for money reasons but down the road do headers
 
Money for now just allows me to topswap and tranny swap it all. Im gonna have like 500 into all of this when done if not more. Plus 250 on headers maybe a month from now
 
Im not going for some 400 hp build. Just alittle more power than I have now. Its my dd I just want it alittle peppier and it gives me some experience and what nots
 


Like I have the money for the swap and what not its just on how much I get to use from my open house.. Im getting the hd tranny and all topswap **** for 300 bucks.

If i'm not mistaken... You're the kid off facebook, who's parent's wouldn't let him mod his car.... You had all this topswap **** back then.... and you sold it cause they said no.
 


That was a year ago when they didnt think I knew anything about cars. When I wasnt a certified mechanic. And didnt have a job or pay for my car. But its all good now. The engine in my car right now is leaking oil from the head so I might as well

certainly wasn't 2 years ago. Cause if it was. I doubt you'd still get ripped on all the time on all the GP facebook groups you left.

And certified mechanic? Do they just hand those certificates out where you live? When did you do all your hours? Last I heard. you just graduated high school.
