• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Top Swap vs SSm90

when you say exhaust do you mean headers... or the exhaust after the Y??

If not, maybe you should consider a set of headers or if money doesn't allow grab a PLOG and Crossover... not sure how much the PEM will do but I guess if it comes in a package deal it can't hurt.

agrzela... you selling those?

I wish! A buddy made that for me. I will say this, though; it would be FAR easier to make something like that for a W-body or a 2000+ H-body, because you don't have that funky torque axis mount bracket to contend with like a pre-2000 H-body does. In other words, you would not necessarily have to do as much shaping, you could probably just drill holes in a rectangular flat bar, and use a larger bolt (1/2" IIRC) and stack of washers in place of the idler pulley standoff.

(I had that thing made because it moves the idler over and gives me better belt wrap on the S/C pulley than the ZZP ssm90 idler pulley method, which is similar to what Chico posted)

I agree with all that's been said so far re: starting pulley size for a topswap. With PLOG, DP, a mild L67 cam, very mildly ported L67 heads, and DHP PowrTuner, (but crappy, oxygenated, 91-octane California gas) I'm feeling safe only down to a 4.0" pulley. I'm hoping my next mod (IC) will get me down to the 3.5-3.6" pulley range.

so should I get my blower and manifold ported and polished or will I be ok without it?

It's not required, but it'd be a good time to do it if you ever want to get an intercooler later. As long as you know someone who can do you a good in car tune you should be fine.

I'd actually be the one tuning his car. I will need some help and I've explained this to him.

Anyone care to assist us while doing it?

Thanks
