top swap question

alright been searching to no avail just thought i would ask here . i have a 99 gt and there is a 97 gtp 3800 that someone is selling on craigslist that they are going to let me pull everything off of the engine for the top swap. I have been reading the top swap sticky but was not sure if anything had to be done differently for a 97 swap...... wiring harness etc ....any help would be appreciated
 


97 wire harness is 97 only, so you will not want that with you car being a 99.

You can find a harness from a 98+ to make it quicker, but either way you will need a custom tune because of the high compression block of the L36.

Or just take your harness and mod it to work with a top swap.
