Top swap on a 95 firebird. Help needed

I'm looking at helping a friends little brother top swap his firebird but was wanting to know a few things before I take this on. Would I have to swap the wiring harness to a newer one? It's odb2 but it's a 95 so i didn't know if it was compatable with my dhp tuner. I know we'll have to mod the sc that's no problem as he knows a fabricator. I'm just mainly worried about tuning it once it's done. Also what's a good trans to run with it? It'll be stock pullied with headers for now. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

As far as the trans goes, it should have a 4l60e in it. It will probably be fine unless your already having trans problems.
As far as the topswap I am no help to you.

I thought the blower won't clear the cowl?

And you need the funky intake turn around.

Might be tougher than it seems on the surface.

The sc will need modded to fit I know that. I think it'll clearup front. It isn't any taller than a na intake

I don't know if this will help you I found this not to long ago had plans to do it with the Camaro I have

ive seen way better looking U turns for the blower intake. i dont care for the box look that gets thinner. dont look like it would flow so good.

this guys work looks real solid. from this thread, its in a old jimmy. http://www.grandprixforums.net/showthread.php?t=83860

I mainly posted it because you have to take off some of the tb to make it fit, but if he can take the two and put them together and make a better product out of the 2 that would be sick, I just saved the pictures as a idea what to do.

Tuning a 95 is completely 100% impossible.

You could try using an 2.2 mini AFC and getting lucky adjusting for injectors like we used to do before tuners, and install the map sensor between the throttle and the rotor blades so it doesnt see boost. At the same time you could throw in a bigger maf too.... You are probably going to have alot of timing, like 24 degrees, so get ready to put a 4.8 pulley on it, or a cam.

On the tb clearance thing. You can make it work as some v6 rwd ausie holdens run the some m90, they just have a bolt on elbow :)
