Read the whole thing for the most part, but still have a couple of questions on top swapping my 02 GT.

First of all, I bought a whole motor out of a 97 gtp, but wanted the higher comp, so im top swapping.

1. I've read that the injector clips changed from 97 to 02. Can i just cut the clips off the 97 harness and solder them on my 02?

2. I'm looking at the top end gasket set on rock auto from fel pro, it appears to cover everything as far as gaskets go, is this correct? I plan on ARP headstuds and rocker bolts.

3. Do i need to switch the MAP sensor clip?I think thats all the questions i have for now. Im sure ill come up with a few more thoughThanks!
 


1. Yes you can. I had a total of three different connectors over the years, all soldered on. Make sure you do it well.

2. Do you mean the head gasket set? If so, yes that covers everything. However it won't come with the best LIM gasket available: MS98014T. If you buy separately, you'll need two L36 head gaskets, head bolts, L67 valve cover gaskets (comes with grommets if you get the right one), the MS98014T LIM gasket, supercharger gasket, throttle body gasket. The LIM gasket will come with o rings for things such as the injectors and T-stat. However it will only come with one set of injector O rings, so you'll want another six since you're changing the injectors.

3. No, you could use an L32 MAP sensor instead.
 
I just finished my top swap, I would actually recommend zzps top swap gasket kit, has all the bbolts and gasketsyou neeed for much cheaper than if you bought seeperate
