Top Gear racist comments.

So apparently the guys at Top Gear decided to get rid of whatever Mexican audience they may had:

YouTube - Top Gear on mexicans

Every now and then I see someone in show business making stupid comments like these. It should be part of some kind of ground rules of what not to do, but oh well...

The thing that's more strange to me is that apparently they didn't even bother to actually review the car or it's actual characteristics, instead they just criticized it for it's origin.

I LOL'ed

How often to do watch Top Gear? You know how often they make fun of other countries? They bash on the us fat, stupid, americans all the time. And I love them for it. That's one thing that is wrong with the U.S., people can't say sh*t like this without some asshat demanding a public apology on a 1 hour cnn special. If you don't like what they have to say change the channel. Bsesides, the car has family sedan level performance, in a super car wrapper.

HA. They're taking heat for those comments.

Clarkson, Hammond and May are taking heat over jokes about a Mexican-made sports car in a Top Gear episode. Referring to the Mastretta MXT, Clarkson implied Mexicans were "lazy," "feckless," "flatulent," and "overweight." Cross the line much?

The conversation started when Hammond said cars imitate characteristics of the countries in which they're built. It's not like Clarkson in particular has ever shrunk from controversy, but this time government types are getting involved. Mexico's ambassador to Britain, Eduardo Medina Mora Icaza del Fuego Maritza Abuela Conchita Con Carne Alonso, says the remarks displayed "bigotry" and "ignorance." We think they display the sins of laziness and triteness. Still, one wonders what a mid-1970s Jaguar says about the Brits' fondness for rambling throughout the countryside on foot.

Im with Slowpoke.

I love the show..dont care for the New USA based one at all really...
They rag on every country...especially the US, and the people in the respective countries.
It's part of the humor....even though I do think they took it too far...

I have thought of them as idiots ever since they considered the Corvette transverse leaf spring comparable to traditional leaf springs. This mexican fiascal further proves thier idiocy.

top gear is government funded, they bash almost every car, I love the show.

I wonder what Clarkson would say about the gtp LOL

That's funny.

I wouldn't have cared if I was Mexican. That's what is wrong with today's society...everyone is a crybaby.

Suck it up.

lol ohhhhh quit crying OP they bash on everything its part of the show.....id hate to see you go watch a comic thats like 1/10 of whats said about mexicans at a show.

what everyone else has said, it's comedy, top gear has always been a good show. I know I laughed my ass off when I watched that episode and saw all those comments.

Yeah I know, but seriously, I really don't take Mexican stereotypes personally. I just don't like them in overall. Even if it's comedy, when I hear a lot of stereotyping for Americans, Indians, Japanese, Chinese, etc. It simply pisses me off because I've had the opportunity to visit and meet people from several countries and I just find this kind of thinking stupid.

I've also worked in global companies with global teams for the past 10 years and stereotyping will get you fired right away. From a global point of view, this just doesn't fit anymore.
