thinking of sending the tails out to flip while my car is down or doing my own work.....should i do it i would get this tint level

because they are the LED ones, and they look good already, i would NOT suggest a dark tint.
Flip can probably mix you up a nice black/cherry finish gloss the fuk out of them and they would be outstanding

defiantly worth the dollars.. however if you ccfl budget prevents it.. then LIGHT VHT..

tint them and learn how to paint better. wet sanding and buffing is your friend. i just did my bike tail light last weekend and it looks killer:

2 coats of VHT, 3 coats of clear. wet sanded in between the two. wet sanded, buffed, and waxed after the clear.

Hmm i think im gonna vht them but BARELY....still feel unsure about it....im gonna see how it looks with the new hl's and if the look calls for tint then so be it

Light tint, I would go with flip from seeing his work, just because I would be nervous doing it to a new set of tail lights.

VHT isn't that hard but I didn't like the way it looked after one coat for some reason.. not the color, just the texture it left behind..

do it! i'm getting some from flip after i vht'd my own. i took a whole day to do mine. they looked great for about a year...

im so torn between tinting or not tinting...i like em red because they are original but also wish they were a deep reddish black would go better with my color scheme.....

I'm assuming these are your new LED tails?

I'd leave them alone for awhile at least. I think they look good.
When the plastic gets scratched or starts to fade, that's when I would get them tinted.

yes but i keep picturing them lightly tinted with the reverse lights left untouched and its making me itch to do it but like you said i wanna leave for awhile its making me go nuts :th_nervous:

Tint the whole thing. Since the white and red is not against the lens, I think it would look weird if you tint just one area.
