Tire Question

What is the widest tire you can put on a stock 16 rim i was looking at 245 50 16 but i dont want them to buldge out to far but i want to give it a good look you know, possibly lower the car a little bit. Or should i just buy some 17 rims and just get wider tires then. because really i dont have money for rims but i defenitly need tires.

you can run 245/50/16, but thats about it. i ran them for a while and it was fine.

they arent that bad. just do it. with that much tire your car grips a lot and it also lowers the car a little because they have slightly less sidewall than stock diameter tires.

i went to tires plus today and the guy there said i could do 235 55 16. He recomended the yok avid T4 308 i looked at them and they did look pretty nice. but i am putting these on stock rims. if anyone has pictures of wider tires on stock rims can i see them. i can get the 245 for much cheaper.

you can run 245/50/16. i ran them. i guarantee that they go on those rims and dont fall off. here is my car with them on:

alright i will buy them i will get pictures up probably in about 2 weeks after i get them
