In my 97 I know basically how the Tire Pressure monitoring system works. But my question is, will it cause issues if I run 17" rims in the front and 18" rims in the back?

If the tires sizes are within 1-3% then it might be alright.
The ABS/TPMS likely needs to see a pressure drop of 5-10 lbs in the tire and the in itself changes the rolling diameter atleast over 3-5% to set the light off.

I just wasnt sure if it went just Right to left or if it also compared front to rear.
