Tire fitment question

Ok, so I have 17 x 8 rims with a +45 offset and I'm looking for my next set of tires. I currently have 235-55-17 on them and it's a little tall but works pretty well. What I'm wondering is if I'll have any problems running 255-45-17s instead. I know they'll fit fine on the rim, but does anyone know if they'll rub anywhere? Has anyone run that size tire before?

Other info that might matter, lowest I'm going to drop the car is Vogtland springs (about an inch)

Any help would be great. Thanks

not sure, but you might need to go with 245-45/17
Any good tire shop will be able to look up the size and compare them, I think our stock tire hight is like 26.1 inches, if I remember...

factory height with a 225/60/16 is 26.62, and the 255/45/17 is 26.03 so it should even out cause your putin them on a 8 inch wide wheel means it will be a lil taller closer to factory:th_thumbsup-wink: and the 26.03 is on a 10inch wide wheel and on the 8inch should be around 26.60 so it should work out really good

They should be fine man. Thats a half inch shorter then stock. Thats going give you plenty of rim when lowerd.

post pics when you get them on.
