tinting tails question

Do you tint the tails from the inside? or the outside?

I know its an old thread, but don't wanna start a new one. Would tinting the tails from the inside work, I have aftermarket tails that the lens removes with 4 screws. I figured if I tint from inside there would be no need for clear since the outside is already glossy... Yay or nay?

if you tint them from the inside it still may look a lil red on the outside maybe (not to sure just thinking)

Well the lenses are clear... There those fugly ricer ones. I got them for cheap with my headlights as a package deal. I'll play around with the idea with some old clear lenses from something to check first though. Thanks a lot for the advice though guys.

just vht the outside, youtube has some good vids of people using vht tint on tails and head lights. good how to's out there.
