• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

tint, tails, and airbags

Man that thing was lookin gangsta when you got it! Total transformation on that. My first GT had the dreaded pinstripe, what were they thinking? Its worth quite a bit to me to not have to spend and hour in that back seat with a heat gun so I give respect to guys that can do a nice job. What I don't want to do is have iffy tint then go paint some things like I'm planning to.

you shrink fit it to the out side, inside would be insane lol

you basically tint the out side of the glass, clear film side up. wet the glass and the tint, squeegee it it down. if a wrinkle forms, ( they call them fingers, cause thats what they look like) you hit them with the heat gun and wipe it down. they get smaller and smaller. so its like your tinting the window two times, once on the out side to shrink and trim to fit, then take the clear film off while its stuck to the out side still, wet it down good, wet the inside of the window, peel it off the out side of the glass and place it on the inside and squeegee the liquid out. work from the middle out pushing any air and liquid out to the sides. not really hard at all. just need to take your time and have patients.

i got away with no heat on the doors, but the brow and back window needed it big time. ever see that ricer with all the bubbles in the back window tint? that guy didnt use a heat gun lol and i lol every time i see that.

after watching this vid i know you'll say, your right, i can do that.....

only thing is the end where he tucks it down the gasket of the inside door skin, thats BS on a W body, take the door skin off, and the rubber block at the top of the door frame. then get the tint to the bottom of the glass and make sure its stuck good.

$165 for my 35% (legal) tints prof install with Global film used.... iirc. Lifetime no questions warranty too.
After 8months there is some micro bubbles in a couple spots. I could go get them fixed but not worth the drive to me. I'm content.
