Time for new plugs and wires??

Modded for Maximum Slow
So today I was on a little bit of a road trip and bout 20 mins in or so the RPM gauge jumped slightly and went back to normal. My dad was driving the car at the time and so I didnt really notice. He pointed it out and im like maybe it was just a fluke deal. It happened a couple and i knew something was up and it maybe happened 10 times or so that i noticed. None of which were that big of a deal but i figured if i let it go itll just get worse. My car currently has about 143,000 mi and i no for sure that the plugs and wires havent been changed in the last 23,000 and i am not sure if they have ever been changed or not. It seems like this would be a reasonable place to start in dealing with a slight misfire seeing as how things normally wear out over time. Im not too sure on how often plugs and wires need to be changed but i figured id post this to see if anyone has any second opinions on this.

my car had a few issues so i changed the wires, i put on taylor 8mm pro wires and it worked great i love them wires but now its time for plugs

I'd remove the coils, clean the ICM, sand the coil terminals, add a little grease to them, get new plugs/wires. Stock ACD replacements for plugs/wires are great if you plan on staying stock or close to it.

how would you go about cleaning the icm do you just spray with sometype of cleaner? any certain type of grit for the coils?

1000 grit is what I've always used.

And clean the ICM with a towel. That's it, just wipe it clean from dirt and whatever else is in there.
