• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

so my kenwood has been in my car since i first bought her in 05, shes starting to crap out on me. i was browsing crutchfield just to see whats out now and nothing is really waving my flag. what are you guys running? thanks-nick

Pioneer DEP5000U

Decent, plays ipod, scrolls slow as **** though. Has enough crossover settings and proper fade and balance. Nothing fancy, but still has 3 RCA ouputs.

And the same brands that were good then are still good now so find one that has the features you need from a brand you trust.

while on this topic... does someone have a list compiled of good after market HUs that have red displays?

I had a kenwood excelon, that was pretty nice, but now i have a pioneer deh-p5100ub. I like the simple sleek design of it, along with the blue display. It has dual usb, 3 outputs, bluetooth, and is xm, hd, sirus ready(under $200). Those were ones i rocked this year.

I have the Pioneer 6000 myself. It has a few bells and whistles over the 5000, and it was not that much more in cost really. If you want Pioneer's better brand look at the Premier line of HU's they sell.

Either way, you really can't wrong :)

i found a nice eclipse, i have a kenwood now and hate that there is no 7 band eq. the eclipse is everything i want and is under $300. i loved my old jvc in my monte carlo but their new stuff doesnt appeal to me
