Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

time for a new car - suggestions?

what do you care about the most for this car? looks, luxury, or power?

edit- nvm re-read your op and you explained what you're looking for pretty well.

I'd like to see you get a evo 8 or 9

I know it's a FWD car but since someone threw out the Mazdaspeed6.....Ever consider the Mazdaspeed3? Great price and have an insane aftermarket.

Other than that I'm completely with you on CTS-V

Like someone mentioned awhile ago,an 06-07ish bmw 328 or 335i. 300hp twin turbo v6, rwd and even a awd option, can get a 4dr option, priced under 20k now, come with manual, and pretty decent after market. Tune and exhaust work alone could bump hp up over 300whp ive seen.

alright, let me try to wrap up what i missed since i left last night...

1) if i'm getting an evo, i want an evo X. and since it's kind of a car on a WRX/STI scale, i'll probably pass on that.

2) i don't really dig mazdas at all, so i'll count those out.

3) TL is FWD, don't care for it.

4) the IS250 really should be on my radar. maybe i'll put it on my short list and go test drive one.

2009 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Sedan- I don’t think this car is substantially smaller than a G35.

I own a 2006 G35 Sedan 6MT. It has a flat torque curve which I like but the clutch engagement is very hard to master in these cars. You can’t feel the engagement point and it makes you seem/look like you can’t drive a stick.

I have a 1998 Buick Regal GS that I have owned since new and I tend to drive that car more often than the G. I got the Regal because my wife was having a baby so I got rid of my all wheel drive, turbo eclipse. That was a fun car to drive, I hate I got rid of it:(

What ever you get, make sure it has that fun factor. Life is to short to drive something that's not fun:)

A guy I worked with has lme with only 15k miles on it. 6speed manual and they come with a nice cute little turbo. But for a DD that little thing was freaking awesome. Would get up and go when u wanted it to. And the interior was very nice and well designed. Dunno about modding em though.

But now I'm going back in my hole until the ban lifts

i'm not getting another grand prix.

and there's only a couple of the VWs i actually like. if i was going to get a FWD car, it's probably going to be a regal.

so i'm going to have to find a couple places to go test drive a cts-v and a regal and see what i come up with. i have a feeling the cts-v is going to win me over based on the driveline...

I would definitely drive an IS 250 if I were you.

Not too uncommon with a manual, but the manuals are usually base models. (No nav, park sensors, sun shade, etc). Base models Still have full leather, heated &cooled seats, sunroof, push button start, etc.

And as far as Lexus' go they have a pretty decent aftermarket.

And I'd love seeing you slam the **** out of an IS when the time is right haha. :)
