time for a new car - suggestions?

since it's something i drive everyday i also want passenger room. down the line when we're more settled in life i can have a second car that is purely for the fun.

I replaced my gtp with an 04 CTS V a few months ago. I test drove an 09 G8 GT but I wanted a 6 speed so I went with the v.

what're your thoughts on the V so far? they're really caught my eye while looking in the past couple weeks.

Audi S4 B7 type. V8, some had 6-speed manuals, and they're AWD.

I really like the car so far. As long as you dont launch the car every time you accelerate the rear end will be fine. If you look at one make sure the motor/ trans mounts are good and the rear end isn't whining or clunking. My rear end whines a little bit with only 35k miles on the car. the 6 lug wheels suck too.

I hear horror story about 06 or 07-10ish Audi A4/S4's, they are nice cars but seem to have an issue with the direct injection system on some and its very costly. Other things to consider with an Audi is anything maintence wise on the motor, like timing belts and such. Talking big dollars for repairs on those.

yep, i've read all about this all so far. and it sounds like a 5 lug conversion is pretty simple (to 5x120), but it'd be about $1200 to do it (C5 hub swaps). and the rear end issue is because of the wheel hop issues, which can be largely eliminated with axle/suspension work. good info, though!

THIS IS THE KIND OF POST I'M LOOKING FOR. THANK YOU!

I paid 18K for my 08 G8 GT that is my new daily. One owner, 44k miles. It's not a stick, but I'd still highly recommend it for a fun, reliable DD.

My buddy just got the new mazda 3 and its pretty cool. It has a manual option but idk how much aftermarket it has and its probably not that fast. I am a big fan though of the slightly older mazda speed 3 and they're quick with good suspension options, four doors, and they look good. My mom has the mini countryman s and its pretty fast too, but again the aftermarket is probably limited. With all of your criteria, the only options are really just the big german cars especially since no one makes manuals anymore and definitely not a manual sedan.

I have seen stuff too about the new chevy ss possibly having manual...

edit: nevermind, I had no idea how expensive the chevy was
