Tie rods or ball joints

Whenever I backup, go forward, or turn I sometimes hear a popping or clicking noise. What could it be? I have an 06 Grand Prix. And hello to everyone.
 


Yes...many things.

Some basic tests though. Jack and support the front of the car.
Wiggle the tire with your hands at 12 and 6. Movement here is typical for a balljoint
Wiggle the tire with your hands at 9 and 3. Movement here is typical for a tierod.
Movement on both is typical of a wheel bearing

You can confirm any of these by looking at the suspension parts in question and verify which ones are moving.

A clunk like you are mentioning could be a broken endlink/broken end of the swaybar (very common 97-03 W bodies) or a bad strut mount.
