Tie rod endlink and steering knuckle question

Destroys cars
Ok so maby a dumb question but whatever. When I replaced my endlinks a year ago on my 97 they did not seem to fit the knucle. For various reasons the car has been parked. I started to drive it again and the steering seems super loose on it. I checked it out and the endlink dose not fit snug into the knucle. As in with the bolt tighted down and the safty pin though the link I can move the endlink up and down quite a bit. It does not fit the taperd hole in the knuckle.

Are their diffrent size link ends that will still fit the inner tie-rod link that may work ? Can I drill out and sleeve the knuckel for the endlink to fit properly? Or am I going to have to replace the hole steering knuckle. I dont want to do option #3 I plan on selling the car and dont want to spend the $300 for each knucle. But I will not sell it with the steering so messed up. (I'm not going to put someones life in danger).

I plan on replaceing the endlinks soon since the rubber bushing has seemed to crack. But I dont want to have to buy 3-4 endlinks to find one that is the correct size.

Go with moogs and make sure that you check the following:

Model GTP, GT, Se this must be correct
Wheter or not car has magnasteer

I have the moogs on there but like I said they do not fit. Stock for GTP dose not fit. Im dont want to spend $180 on endlinks and an alignment just so I can sell the car. Cheap ones work fine for me $20 bucks each vs $54 ill buy the $20 and punt the car. It is that stock tie-rod endlinks will not fit the car and I didnt know if a diffrent one had same diamiter inner connector but a larger outer to drop into the knuckle. Or if I could sleeve it and use a stock one or if I would have to replace the hole assebmly.

I cant even do that it is so loose that the threads stop short of it being tight. If it wasnt -45 with the wind chill I would jack it up and take a vid of what I am talking about.

Hopefully it warms up to like 5 above this weekend like it is suposed to then I can change them out.

I know it's an old thread but for future reference, it sounds like he's talking about his spindle is wallered out.
He needs to replace the steering knuckle, as the taper is wallowed out where the tie rod and taper snugs up into the steering knuckle.
