Throttle Sticking! HELP!!

The throttle on my 01 GTP is sticking/freaking out! It was practically driving itself just going down the road. It would slowly accelerate and keep going for about 30 seconds to a minute and then cutt the throttle and started coasting again. Im thinking it was just the throttle sticking and not releasing when i took my foot off the gas. Any ideas what the problem is and how i can fix it?

Look under the hood at the throttle cables and such connected to the throttle body.

then move it by hand. If it's sticky..that's the issue. If the pedal returned then it's not a sticky throttle. It's probably a throttle position sensor.
