Throttle Position Sensor Questions

Tonight, when I started the car, I got the traction control and stability control error messages, and the traction control idiot light. I drove home, and got apparent reduced power and rough shifts. When I turned the car off, I got both messages repeated as well as the reduced engine power message.

I let the car rest for two hours, and restarted it and drove it for a couple blocks. I had no performance issues, but I do now have the P2138 code. Is it possible for this to have caused the TC and stability control problems, or were those an unrelated coincidence? And what is the likely cause of this?
 


Codes related to the throttle body and pedal assembly can throw traction control stabilitrak lights because those systems will take control over the throttle to reduce power.
