Alright now, I was wondering if any one had the specs to a throttle body spacer for the series 2 engine. I cant find any and I would really like to start making plans for building one. Thanks
 


dont bother most here will tell no to even look any more for one and your lucky you never put one on, from what ive read here is that they leak and do really nothing to for your engine.
 
I am going to build one though, out of a block of aluminum, just for a project in school. Thought it would be a cool idea. And if it leaks I can find where and make another or fix it somehow, not to hard to do.
 
Unless you're modifying the spacer to spray meth or nawz, I wouldn't get it imho.

Yeah I just saw that. Bummer they don't work that great, do they just need something changed in it a little bit for it to work. Some people just make things and don't even think about how it will really work and they make it and sell it with out even thinking, wait this makes everything worse, lets fix that. Thats why I still want to make one just to see if I could make it differently where it could make it run better with out the issues stated in that other thread.

Thats why i posted about it... From what i was reading from the manufactures websites of course was they were supposed to do so much and blah blah blah.. It seems way to good to be true for what it actually is when you break the product down... And think about it.. Even if you do somehow figure out a way to make a throttle body spacer that wouldnt have those negative affects that billboost was describing, there really is nothing to gain from it from what ive been told and after doing further research... IMO it would be a waste of money and time... But hey who knows, maybe youll figure out something great! :th_thumb-up:
 
Maybe, it would be a sweet project but the cost is free. I found some scrap. Instead of the aluminum like all the companies use, steel like A-2 would probably be better since it wont warp as easily, but who knows if I will get to it. Gotta get them specs and gotta finish other projects as well. Also what else would be something pretty cool to make for a car that would be beneficial.
 


All depends how in depth you are going with your car.. personally I'm not doing to much in the way of mods for my car as its just my daily driver... I bought my gtp with 99k on it so I'm focusing on routine maintenance things such as spark plugs and wires, trans pan drop and filter change, throttle gasket, supercharger gasket, lower intake manifold gasket, front end suspension, coolant change, etc.. there are a lot of threads here with a lot of information, but make sure u read up on it thoroughly or you could end up with a pretty heavy paper weight. If you have questions just ask if you can't find the answer, there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this board and they won't bash you for asking for help. Have you checked out the how to section? Some good stuff there.
 
Yeah I have been through a lot of these threads and there is some awsome stuff on here. I really want to do that short shifter mod cause that just looks sweet but for mods I really just wanna do more to my exhaust. I was thinking about cams but I am going to leave that for know.
 
Make up an L67 or Gen V to N* adapter. Always good to have one laying around if you are thinking of future mods. Same basic thing as a TB spacer, same materials etc.

That's where I'm at.. I have an intake and just going to put on a downpipe to get rid of the u bend that restricts flow... didn't feel like going all out for headers although from the members here it seems like an investment definitely worth it if u got the cash.
 


All depends..

It's to adapt a Gen V SC opening to a N* TB opening. It's very much a TB spacer, except it also adapts two different bolt patterns. Therefore it would be more indepth than a TB spacer, and afterwards you could sell or use it if you modded etc. It would also adapt a L26 (metal UIM NA ) to a N* TB.
