wanting to get a ls1 TB but read here they dont just bolt up whats a good alternative or can i buy a ls1 TB off a junkyard and find the extra parts online? im doing away with my FWI it was not done right by the last owner and going for a open cone when i get a new tb thanks for the help !

What mods does the car have done to it? There aren't any TB's off other engines that will just bolt right up. You'll have to buy an adapter plate to make the conversion. ZZP sells an adapter plate for a Northstar TB, which is the same diameter as the LS1, but probably easier and cheaper to find. Just make sure you get one from a 2000+ year with 3 mounting bolts and not 4.

Not alot of mods high flow cat u-bend delete fwi just waiting for tax season to do the 3.4 pully mod with supporting mods just getting cheap mods for now and is the adapter plate sold on its own ?

I'm with Matt, there's no point in wasting money on mods that won't benefit you right now.

A throttle body is something you don't need until you're outflowing stock.

I agree with the other two. For what you have, I'd say scrap the TB idea and go for a set of headers.

LS1 TB Setup wouldn't be cheap.

You'd need an adapter plate for one, an external LQ4/LS1/SLP 85mm MAF Sensor, LS1 TPS/IAC, You'd need to cut off the throttle bracket, flip it over...and weld it on backwards..then in order for it to be efficient enough, it would need to be tuned for it, along with the blower being port matched on the inlet side to benefit fully from it. On a stock pulley...it would probably go more harm than good...you wouldn't need a LS1 TB setup until sub 3.25" pulley sizes...full size intercooler or cam...
