seems like it needs to go. and you need to re do all the vac lines. theres diagrams here to set you up so they are right.
 


No those arent wires at the top. One side is the hose that goes to the engine. The other side is the bottom part of the T of that long vac hose
 
It is pretty ugly. The only full vac line kit i can find is off ebay. Its has the adapters and hoses for the radiator. And in colors. I think im going w/ blue to match my blue stem caps, lol Anybody else offer these cause they're the only ones ive been able to find
 
you can get regular black vac hose and T's and stuff at autozone.( they have a kit) i bet you could change everything for 15 bucks or so.
