/\ is doggin on me because he is jealous of my sweetness

what i want to know is WHEN did GM have VVT??

^get used to it (jk your a cool guy lol)

umm the mid 70's i think I will have to get out the books and ford also developed the one of the first functional ones ;)

/\ wants to make me use to it

i want more information on this... about the only thing i knew GM invented was the air bag...

^has a cool sig

Umm what else do you want to know Fix It Again Tony messed around with the idea GM picked up the plans and tinkered threw it in a car mid-late 70's tried to make it work. It did but ran ****ty dumped the plans to stick with the tried and true old ways.

btw the northstar uses VVT :)

/\ likes my sig

did they actually change the cam profile and all that jazz... or did they just fool around with the idea, give up, and the Japanese figured it out and make it work like they do with everything?? (Honda reliability FTMFW)

^makes good sigs

FHFHDSGBFDUJSBFDSFDS <----MY SWEARS STUPID FIREFOX FAILED ON ME FOR A SECOND AND THE ESSAY I WROTE WAS ERASED

well anyways here is the jist they chnaged the profile couldnt get it to work properly didnt take in enough air at low rpms (im pretty sure this is the problem they encountered) they meant it for emissions and fuel economy only. They axed it after 8 months i think. Along comes AR and nissan to reap the benefits of the wasted money GM and fix it again tony threw away

/\ cursed out his computer

that is where the i-Vtec comes in. it not only changes the cam profile (and variable variable came profile) but also changes the intake length (VIS)

btw, do you have aim??
