Thoughts on those LED Tail Lights

hey all, Unfortunately my tails like many have seen better days. Mine are bubbled and the driver one has been leaking for quite some time. I was thinking about buying the new smoke LED tailights instead of getting new stockers. They really don't seem to be any more money. Just wanted to know if anyone had them and how they like them? Are they made well, and does anyone have pics of them on their car? Also, the ones I was looking at don't come with new bulbs which puzzles me, how then can they be LED's with no LED bulbs? Is that a dumb question, maybe i'm just an idiot i dunno.
 


it's multiple LEDS in the housing itself with a connector that plugs directly into the bulb socket and your turn signal and reverse light bulbs are still used. i'll try and get some pics up later.
 
i would love to have a set of those LED tails..but they are far too expensive for me to care about them now. when they are $100 a set ill buy some and tint them like i did with my stockers..

Hmmm...I have not seen those til now. Pretty nice, kinda expensive but the price might come down in a few months.
 


Well i would just tint the stockers, but the driverside light is like completely ruined from the water so tinting wouldn't really satisfy me. Crshoveride thanks for the info, I don't know why they couldn't mention that on the websites. Those look sweet on your car. Is that how they looked right out of the box, or did you tint those before you put them on?

thanks, and they weren't tinted right out of the box. I had them on my car for about a month or so before I decided to tint them.

yup sure do, I've had them since the first week of February. I agree, they are pretty cool, I like them a lot better than the stock ones. I haven't had any problems with any LED's going out yet, let's hope it stays that way! lol

yea that is how they looked right out of the box. they have 3 options. you can get chrome, black, or smoked. the ones i have are smoked
 


they are usually rated for over 100,000 hrs of life, so i would say they arent gonna go out before your car does lol.

Wow that is Freakin amazing! I can't believe it, maybe its just because your car is white they look more tinted. Regardless, from how they look on your car I must purchase a pair of those smoked LED's.
 
Ok so I would be all set to order a pair of these, in fact I would even do it tomorrow if it weren't for one thing that bothers me about them. They don't look like they have enough LED's in them. There is only 15? if my count is correct. It would seem to me that there should be at least another row in there maybe two to made 18-21 LED's. I dunno it just bothers me, and I'm worried it will look like there are not enough and then I won't like them. Any way you could add LED's or any future plans to make them with more LED's in them?
