this vibration is strange.......

I hv an 08 base model and the front end shakes above 40, not a violent shake but enough that its annoying. Here's the strange thing, when I take off any of the front tires it will stop for about a day or two then come back. I changed my rims and tires to see if that was culprit. That didn't do anything. I've tried it many times taking the tire off and every time it went away temporary. I know my struts needs changing but their not singing yet. Any ideas

Lug nuts torqued to 100 ft lbs??

The holes in the rims arent getting wider are they, like a loose wheel?

No corrosion on the back side of the rim where it contact the rotors face?

I think it would be a wheel bearing assembly had the same thing
Maybe a balance saw you changed the rims. Sure they are balanced?

ive noticed with the two w body cars we had that its very sensitive to cv axle issues that caused one of our cars to shake violently on accel at mid to higher speeds. The other one would vibrate badly above 40mph when turning slightly to the right. It was the strut mount was shot. Just letting you know my experiences with the vibrations. Not sure what yours could be. I guess I would check all suspension mounting points. ball joint. lower control arm bushings, inner and outter tie rod for play, strut mount etc etc. Have you done the simple wheel bearing test that everyone always says to do on here with shaking the tire up and down when its off the ground and watching to see if the rotor moves a lot inside the caliper? and then finally cv axle but I have never been able to figure out a way to test that just have to throw money at it when you cant find anything else.

Thanks a lot for replies. I know that my struts need changing. My brakes r new all around except for calipers. I suspected my wheel bearing. Il have to check that out. My rims r balanced I even took it to two different places to make sure. The only good thing is that itputs my 3 months old baby girl to sleep fast lol. Il investigate tomorrow and post my findings cuz I've never seen this before.

Does it depend on the road you're driving on? In the past I've noticed some roads cause a shimmy in my steering and only at certain speeds.
