so my wife is forcing me to sell my 97 gtp before i deploy, now she said that when i got back if i bought a car it had to be 04+ so im wanting to stay in the 3800 gm line up so my question is would the intercooler, headers, exhaust, intake, stuff like that transfer over to the 04-08 gp?

Yes! My exhaust is from a 04 GP. And everything else will work as well.

The intercooler core would be your only concern and depends on what type of intake you have. The 04+ have genV s/c and lim.

so id just have to upgrade to a gen V compatable i/c core, better than buying everything all again, intake is a MSP from 3800 performance it looks like i could get it to work, i know the HIDs wont and my STB but it look like most of the spendy stuff is going to work

mostly everything will swap over. you COULD use the genIII core, but it is offset from the blower outlet on a genV so you wouldnt be getting the most out of it.
