• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

This is one reason people keep trying to do pullies first...

I read the first sentence and then closed my browser.

ZZP sucks. Wether it be at customer service or sending my order out that was placed 2 1/2 WEEKS AGO!

And i'm going to stop before I really get out of hand on that.

What were you expecting? That article is several years old, and it is the same place that promotes the boost-bypass mod.

So you're saying that they did not know any better back then? And if they know better now like I think you're trying to say then why did they not alter the misinformation they have up?

Along with the boost bypass valve mod. Belive it or not people still read this stuff.

I am not justifying anything for them, just making a statement. Since SLP would toss a 3.5" on a pretty much stock GTP back when they were new, a lot of folks believe that to be a safe practice. We have figured out quite a bit since then, especially when it comes to scanning and tuning. Right, wrong, or indifferent, folks will have to learn one way or another not to trust just one input on a subject; Darwin was on to something, I think. :th_winking:

I agree for the most part except for it seems to be more than just one vendor that has this opinion (3800proformance).

ZZP still sucks. :)

Below are statements that Zoomer made. They may not be in order or made together. I will add that Eric know's his **** and is VERY good at his job. He has helped me 2 seperate times and was very satisfied with the effort that he put into it.

In the spirit of not bull****ting, I'm calling you out as a liar.

So produce the emails to prove this situation or shut up.

You are incorrect in saying that we should do everything to help a customer.

It’s our goal to help customers because without them, we cannot run a business.

I will admit that Tim gave poor responses. In fact, they were downright horrible. Tim did not explain the situation to you or give thought out responses and he should have. I apologize for this problem on Tim’s behalf because those replies are totally unacceptable.

Eric is our customer service manager and can be reached at [email protected].

That doesn't mean we have good customer service

Well, I need to find all the e-mails that I sent to ZZP when I had a messed up tune 4 times on my PCM...I was told that (by Erik mind you all) That I had no basis that it was their tune that caused my car to have problems...

I looked at the screen and kinda went cross-eyed...like WHAT??!

Zoomer is a complete doucebag IMO...he won't back up his products...customer service sucks beyond belief and all of their "tech articles/advice" are more harmful than beneficial. Why not start a GPF business and put ZZP down :p

btw here is a thread from the Cobalt SS forum with Zoomer and other ZZP cronies tried to back up their stuff and got PWNED lol

Advantages/Disadvantages over 2.6??? - Cobalt SS Network

It's a bit of a read but you'll ROTFLYAO!!

Here is the summary from Area47 (a member on KCPMC about the subject): "Before you click the link posted, know this...Zoomer, Matt M., and Turbo Tim are now all members of that site, vendors if you will. Now I know some of you have had issues with ZZP in the past. No surprise as I personally think they are really stupid in some of the things they say and their magic dyno numbers that defy mathematics.

Anyways, Figured some of the members here would get a kick out of this.

Cliff notes...
Smaller pulleys don't equal more power in their eyes."

Umm... it doesn't. What's magical about that?

Some of you need to read the following books:

http://www.amazon.com/Maximum-Boost-Turbocharger-Engineering-Performance/dp/0837601606
http://www.amazon.com/Supercharged-...=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1236194103&sr=1-2

Everything you need to know about forced induction. What Zooomer says is right from those books and is true.

Turbo Tim is an ass, for sure. But Eric and Zooomer and some chick they have there have always given me great customer service. Whether by phone or e-mail.

Nay but you sure are starting to act like one...

I understand your concept of how you would lose 2 hp, but did you not forget the smaller pulley ADDED horsepower, more than 2.

I dont know whats up with ZZP lately, but they have been getting in ALOT of arguments, with customers and forum members abroad.

If Zooomer has friends, then one of them should be a "good friend" and take his computer away. The things this guy has said on forums is ridiculas. Hey Zooomer...these are the guys buying your parts YOU JACK A$$

But he's right. What sense does it make to argue these points if he's not right. If people believe him, they'll be buying less smaller pulleys from him. But if he stays silent, as more people blow up their engines they'll blame ZZP for not saying anything. Here's his situation: Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

i cant say anything bad i bought the o2 sensor simulator, and they had it at my house in like 3 days. not sure about anything else though. as far as modding foes, im listening to you guys since you all have done this longer than me.

also if i had realized the actual o2 sensor was as cheap as it was on their site i would have just replaced it, but im going to buy the 3 inch offroad down pipe for my car, so it really wasnt a bad idea to buy the simulator

To a certain degree though...if he keeps his mouth shut and nothing happens then he is able to walk away free as a bird. But, let him open his mouth to some of the stuff he has been saying and he is just "damning" himself...the stupid crap he says sometimes just digs himself a deeper hole you know?

One thing that I am not knocking the shipping though LOL. S**t gets to your house 2 to 3 days FLAT...:th_laugh-lol3:

I'll side with zzp on this one...

First of all, if the redline owner wasn't such a dumbass, he could have realized that reusing the stock manifold gaskets are sometimes better than getting aftermarket paper ones... I looked at my stock gaskets and the gaskets that came with my headers and your damn right i reused them.

Zoomer is a big guy, and no one can pronounce his real name, either way he stands behind his company name firmly. He also spends hundreds of thousands of dolllars in research and development on grand prixs, redlines, cobalts... Now how many other people out there would build their own companies up and produce countless parts for cars that shouldn't be fast at all. I sold my SHO and bought a grand prix for a reason, there wasn't ANY aftermarket parts for the SHO and now I have a grand prix with almost unlimited, proven parts. On the SHO forums, people would beg for someone to come by to develop parts for them, hell if someone wanted different cams on a v8 it was going to be $10,000 to start out with a test grind.

ZZP has to realize they are in a business of dealing with interest groups, they listen and actively participate on forums which is a good thing, but can also be negative, they get involved with disgruntled customers and no matter what they say or type, it almost always puts off a negative vibe to the reader. Its like our company's stock, Prudential stock was in the 90's-100's when some small paper out east put prudentials name on a list of companies that might need bailout money. People saw that article and the stock went down to 45 in one day. The information was in every way false and the company took a huge hit from that bull****.

Basically my point is, take the good with the bad, zzp makes some badass parts and we should thank them for it, and for their competitiveness in the market. They don't just go around making 8 second grand prixs for fun, they in turn help to make thousands of grand prixs go 13 seconds, hundreds go for 12 seconds and 11 seconds, a couple for 10 seconds.

Oh! You mean the're control arms that are right about 200 dollars over priced?

For an example of one of the over priced parts that zzp sells.

It does seem a bit pricey for our grand prixs, but not many others make something like this for fwd cars. F-body's or mustangs can roll these out cheaper because they have a mass group of customers into fast cars. They also don't have to worry about how much power is going into that wheel since their not fwd. Lets just say at least they made them and didnt sell them for 600 instead...
