Thinking of going cammed... Need opinions

Well the gen v I just scored should be arriving sometime early next week, but it will not go on the car until close to the end of the year. I was originally planning to run the gen v along with a full size IC, and 42.5's on top of the mods already in my sig (typical 3.4 setup). However, now I have the urge to go cammed slowly creeping up from the back of my mind. I was thinking of running an XP cam with all the supporting mods, 42.5's, etc., and going non-intercooled. Looking to make 300-ish whp. Would this be a reliable setup?

I may eventually ad an intercooler, so I will most likely go XP or S1X if I go cammed.

I would go s1x over the xp.

I have no complaints of the s1x put down good numbers with stock manis o knock and 3.4 pulley

I'd never go with the NIC...why? Tuning nightmare and if you don't have a tuner everyday to check out what its doing...poof :th_winking:

I would go s1x over the xp.

I'd go way bigger than those...but I choose XP. Why? I DD'd it for over a year and loved it.

the problem with the NIC is that the overlap causes the o2 readings to be all wonky. if you have a wideband on your car its really not that hard to tune in comparison to other cams.
