• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

thinking bout lowering my gt

you do realize that no matter what spring you use, that it will look lower on stock wheels than it does with bigger wheels? you just made an invalid point.

not when the over all diameter of the tire and rim is smaller than stock....mine is a lil smaller....and those also look a lil smaller in the pic :th_thumb-up:

my ? is why the hell doesnt ne one make some decent coilovers that dont cost a ton? Id love to build a set of tiens and use the EFDC but i wouldnt have ne idea where to start. I know they make kits for cars with similar weight, i believe for like a G35 or a 350Z but mounting them would be the trick. But honestly how hard can it be its just a strut with 2 bolts that hold it to the spindles. I dont mean to make it sound easy Im sure its anything but... I know some guys over on clubgp.com are working on coilover kits but and working out the best spring rates Id try reasearching over on that site.

bio quit having a neg. gp bias because you've moved onto a subie...:th_biggrin2:

people do mod gp's haha...

and gp iraq vette intense sells coil overs for our cars...

well, im just sayin. there are a billion other cars that people actually mod that are more vendor friendly than our cars are.

people dont mod grand prixs? hmm seem like you had a DEMOD sale not too long ago right? I didnt know intense sells coilovers and i was talking about tien so one could some how adapt the EFDC system they use. I know it would take some ingenuity to make it work but im sure the ride would be far better than whats out now. Ive rode in a evo with EFDC and handles like a train rides like a buick and in the winter the guy i know jacks up the coils and runs snow tires for ice racing. thats hella sweet and perfect for any style of driving if you ask me tho it does come with a big $$$$

Wrong again! twice in one week look again at their site its 69.99 for the sway bar option. Ha maybe you should stick to the subie!

i dont cruise the vendor websites anymore since i dont plan on working on the prix anymore. my bad. :p

dont know, dont care right now. im broke for a few months and im not sure i want to work on it in the winter since my garage isnt heated. ;)

haha, oh god these posts are hilarious...but to throw my two cents in, i lowered my car and I absolutly love the look. Just remember what bio248 said a few lines up, these cars arnt ment to be lowered...

:th_laugh-lol2: Dont believe for a second not meant to be lowered! if your gonna lower just spend the money and do it right including shortened dog bones, which brings up another thought any one know if there are bump steer kits to correct the steering geometry and if there are camber kits for the rears available? maybe people should never lower trucks or anything else for that matter. Ever been to SEMA?? thats what the aftermarkets for!!!:D

the best solution to axle geometry problems is to space the motor and transmission back up to where it originally was, but a lot of people cant do that because of

a) a big intercooler that will hit their hood or
b) headers will hit the bottom of the car

i had to run shortened dogbones because otherwise my headers would have eaten the bottom of my car.

well what if I already spent all the money for the AGX adjustables and ssc springs, spacers for the motor and shortened dog bones and I still have vibration? I bought and entire new suspension...and i still have vibration....its light, but its there...im going to take a look at the spacers on the motor but everything looked good...these cars still have slight a slight vibration no matter what...

if youve done all this and its still got a vibration have you checked the cradle mounts? I know these are prone to making noise and most people overlook the cradle mounts. also i hope you used new upper mounts when you repleaced the shocks and struts if you have already.

i slammed my GP with some hydraulics. i'm just using shorter dog bones and don't have any vibration unless i ride it really low. as for camber and all that, strut vehicles dont have much camber when lowered, in fact when i did mine everything stayed in alignment strut vehicles have a more straight up and down then normal suspension. my car actually rides better now then with the stock suspension..... plus the women love it, lol
