Thinking about buying a supercharged SS

As a member of this site with a '98 Grand Prix GTP , which needs tons of work right now :( , I'm seriously considering picking up a supercharged Impala. I assume they were only available in 2004 and 2005. I had for a short time a brand new '07 Monte SS ( and loved it), but when money got super tight over the last year I was forced to get rid of it.
Now that my financial situation is finally improving, I'm thinking of selling one of my motorcycles along with my current ride which is an LT1 powered '96 Roadmaster wagon.I still want to keep and eventually work on my GP but until then I'd love to find a nice, clean, low-ish mileage Impala SS. What kind of prices can I expect to find on a one owner ,silver SS with say no more than 45-50 K miles? Also, can I assume they have the very same engine and trans as my GTP? All help is much appreciated.
Steve

the supercharged ss has the exact same engine/drivetrain that yours does now. the series 2 3800. they never implemented the series 3 into the impala, montecarlo, ect dont know why tho lol prices... egh im not sure with between 45-50k im gonna say in the 7-8k range

The series III was only in the last generation Grand Prix and had 260 h.p. , correct? Did the series III have the same trans as the one in my '98 GTP?

Yes with the exception of the comp g with a higher trans gear ratio of 3.29 yeah I believe a 2.93 in the car or something like that.4t65hd and the non heavy duty was used which had a less durable differential and a couple other parts the only other trans used in these cars is a 4t80 which is used in the GXP grand prixs

Guess again on price they are bringing $8000 through the chute at the auctions for an 05 wit 56-80000 miles obviously 04's are lower.

what's wrong with 04 - 05 monte carlo ss? mc ss looks way sexier than 4 door sedan ss imo:th_laugh-lol3:
for the 04 that are supercharged are intimidator ss, jr. ss, and optional for the rest. for 05. tony steward and all the ss are standard supercharged.

yes with the home depot trim on the lower rocker panel. i think the 04 intimidator ss is the best looking
