Think I broke something...

Some dickbag almost sideswiped me today, and when I swerved to get out of the way I went over a HUGE curb, as I did this I heard a loud clunk sound. I'm hearing this every time I brake now. What could have happened? Should I be driving the car?

if theres something in there messed up it shouldnt be to hard to spot get under there or pull the wheels and check it out
every thing that i can think would have broke youd really notice

So far it's just clunking when I brake most of the time. But then again I only drove it for about 2 minutes after it happened.

if it only does it when you brake id pop a wheel off and check out the caliper mount areas and the lower ball joint on what ever side is clunking i could be way off but thats where i would start

Basically check the suspension and everything directly attached to it.

Seems like a worthless statement, but it has to be said. You should really check everything.

Once had a GP in the shop at work with 2 broken coil springs and both sway bars cracked. Driver "noticed something funny". :D

Front sway bar sheared off. It was a clean break. Any way to fix this other than replacing the whole sway bar?

Replace with the GM PP bar and you'll be happier than you were before. For the cost, it's not worth trying to repair.

Driving the car is fine..just don't take any corners at high speeds, the car will sway a lot more.

JY $10.. Monte Carlo or Impala donor car :th_thumb-up:

when mine broke i got the GMPP front and rear with poly links and couldn't be happier. its definitely a noticeable difference and was pretty cheap i think i paid $120 for both bars and both sets of links from my dealer.

Second that, the dealer may ask for a little more, but they should be able to get the part the next day and no shipping.

It was a clean break, the only thing that suffered real damage was the bolt. Couldn't I just replace those?

if he sway bar isnt broke then by all means just replace the end link.

Yeah I'm gunna look over it one more time but it seems to be just the link, it was a real clean break the bolt just snapped and now the bar is just chillin on the passenger side, doesn't seem to be bent or broken.
