Things Just Keep Getting Worse *Electrical Problem*

Well I got my tranny fixed but now the guys telling me. The car won't shift out of first automatically and it keeps blowing some transmission? fuse or something. Oh and before this nothing inside the car was working none of the windows, radio, sunroof ,locks.

Check ALL of your fuses, even if you have to pull them ALL out and test them with a meter as well as visually inspect them.

The transmission defaults to 3rd gear if there is no power to it. The PCM should set a code when it cannot sense feedback from the transmission.

Not knowing what your transmission was in for, if they removed it, they may have damaged some wiring somewhere. Sounds to me like they need to fix it, or have it fixed if they are incapable...

anyone run any wires through the grommet on the passenger side (where it exits the body?) I found mine was hacked up, and had to redo a ton of the wiring, and one of the wires is for the trans

This was the exact case sort of. Well it seems someone replaced the power steering pulley before I bought the car. Somehow they left the pulley puller stud? in the pulley and the wiring grommet got undid from the clip and fell onto the stud. So the spinning stud ate through the plastic then into the wires. thats why my brakes lights went out, then a few weeks later all the power in my car, and then yesturday the whole car short circuited. I found it yesturday following the wires. I just hope the pcm isn't fired, oh well I still have the stock one o.o .

I found my serpentine eating into my engine harness while the car was under warranty. It was still being held by the factory retaining pieces. Dealer replaced it, and I had no issues yet, but there was bare metal in there. Something to watch out for.
