Theft delete

Anyone know if there is a module that can be wired in to bypass the pk3 theft system for a 2004gtp ?

Check youtube cant remember the name of it but it was a system that pretty much uses the technology of an auto start(Need at least one working chip) And you dont have to learn a key again just get it cut.

You can bypass the passlock with a correct resistance resistor in place of the key cylinder. Cut signal wire that comes out of the passlock (should be orange) and test with a dmm on the key side while cranking. (have car in R or D to prevent cranking with brake on, wheels chocked) The resistance value you test here is the resistor you must buy. Solder in the resistor between the car side of the wire you cut and the passlock ground wire. I have done this on a couple of car's when doing aftermarket remote Start's before they had all of the bypass module's.

You can also add the alarm/remote start bypass and use a relay to convert polarity to activate the bypass with your ignition 12v feed. All these modules do is duplicate the resistance value and uses a relay to activate.

The pk3 does not use resistor in the key. When I try to use the key to start display says theft system needs programming. Hate to tow it to the dealer.

Not sure what you're asking, or want to accomplish.

But there's a programming sequence to relearn the key if that is what you're asking.
Search, it's out there and simple to do.

The key is the resistor?

I have more than 10 years experience installing car electronics. I have bypassed more than one using this method.
