• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

The squeeze!

If u had LISTENED to me b4 and REREAD my post u would have seen.

"it won't raise ur compression by any noticeable amount probably a fraction of a point."

U would have realized I was saying the same thing u are and saved ur self the 45 mins it took u to look up equations on lambda. I was correcting someone who said it would affect compression. also "authoritay" is how cartman from southpark says it ie the quotation marks.

I by-passed lambda altogether and enjoyed doing an application of math that I'm remotely interested in... So IMO, time well wasted. :D

TOTALLY missed the SP reference... I thought it would be spelt more like "AUTHORITAR" Oh well...

WHAT DO YOU DRIVE?!@#!@%!)@#*(

Also thanks for being patient with my inability to read and comprehend anything.

Anything to say to that or are u feeling like a stupid dick now. Maybe u should worry less about picking fights with people and more about the topic at hand. I noticed u had the most posts in the past year. Are they all trash talking or do u actually contribute ?

Gonna join the chatbox?

Don't have an f5 I'm on a smart phone bro and the chat box doesn't load on this browser either also as long as my phone has service it'll say I'm active even if I'm doing something else

Probably, the issue being is no one tunes for it around here really...that could reap the full benefits...then again, I don't see it being hard to tune for at all. And if you remember the last guy who sprayed on here that ran mid 11's...turned his knock sensors off.

in which case he's a genius?

It doesnt make sense though.

having knock sensors lets you increase timing and put you closer to the ragged edge...

Unless of course the software used for canceling out the unwanted "noise" from the signal was poorly coded and not strict enough.

Which is perfectly logical considering GM tunes werent that great.

I can question your authority because anyone who is articulate enough to have a great understanding of these concepts would also be able to spell properly...

But anyways, meth is misted which means atomization which means it consumes very little volume. Not dumped in.

Lets look at how much gas is used in one cylinder in a 3800 series II not factoring in VE or boost... lets assume it has a VE of 100 and is N/A.

so.... bore is 97 mm stroke is 86 mm

so volume is 635 780 mm^3 or 635.78 cm^3 or 0.63578 L

AFR lets say is 12:1

Assume the air in the cylinder at BDC is under zero pressure.

So skipping the step where we consider the volume of the fuel...

.64 L of air has a mass of 0.768 g.

so we need 0.064 g of gasoline for that one cylinder.

Gasoline just happens to be around 614.35 times more dense than air.

So this means the gasoline to maintain a 12:1 AFR for one cylinder in a 3800 series II would take up 0.047 mL.

0.047 mL in 0.63578 L is 7.39249426 × 10-5 percent.

without scientific notation thats 0.000074 percent.

I HIGHLY doubt that you're going to notice that.... And I would think that you would be using less meth than gas when going WOT.

I just got off work, read that, now im going to bed.
ill try again later i suppose.

For a car that is DD, which would be the best bet....nitrous, alky, or meth? Also how long does meth/alky take to empty out for a standard size container?

alky and meth is the same thing because you would be methyl alcohol.

Bio used a half a gallon in a month I think?

The best bet for a DD is an intercooler with a bosch or GM pump.... but everyone is afraid of those....

Afraid of IC's? Only thing I hate about intercoolers is how they run the lines through the belts...which does scare me. Run them under the throttle body where they belong like in the revamed SSIC core (I think)...but then...you get an SSIC...which sucks because the cores warp and you get vacuum or coolant leaks...which is another issue in itself. A stage 2 fullsize IC is where its at...if you can safely run everything with a GM Quiet pump...its win.
