You need the extended lines, you can not run normal size lines. So as long as they are 4" longer, you'll be good.

Looks like WBS makes you buy all 4 for $115, ZZP you can buy just the fronts for $75 IIRC

I understood what you meant, I should have been more clear. My bad, the GXP wheels have a lower offset than the SS wheels. I don't remember what it was, but its not +52 like the SS 18s. My stock 12" brakes are a tight fit with the SS wheels, as far as width. Maybe that's why the GXP was the only one to get bigger brakes from the factory. Maybe they designed the wheels first, I wouldn't put it past GM back in '06. haha
 
So, got my car all blown apart. Went to put the rotors on and they don't fit over the hub...what now?

At first I though they weren't fitting over the knural part of my new arp studs but after measuring with a micrometer we found the rotor to be off by 100 1000s, and found the center bore to be slightly small.
 
So I needed new hubs, the new ones fit perfectly. However, even with the 5/8"(about 15.5mm) spacer, the SS wheels still didn't clear. What size wheels are all you guys running. I think I need a wheel that's 18x7 with 35mm offset, which is hard to come by for cheap winter duty wheels. HELP!
 


ok so update on my setup.. was nice out today so i figured i would mock up these bad boys... bolted everything up and went to put the wheel back on.. and its a no go with my rim... it fits on there but doesnt sit directly on the rotor hat.. looks like the rim spoke and caliper faceare coming into contact... soooo. that being said i am tossing around the idea of either getting some spacers or new rims all together..(i have had these for a while and they were free anyway ;))

..looked up my offest and it says it is +40mm

i wasn't hitting by much!.. i am going to try some spacers and see if that will work.. also i have to get my tires rebalanced after, dont know if you can see but the weights are def. not going to clear the side of the caliper... i have maybe 3-4mm max of room between the side of the caliper and the rim lol
 
update: ok so went out and bought some cheap-o 5/16" spacers from Advanced(just as a temp. mock-up fix).. looks like my rims are a no-go :( I think the spacer needed to be like 1-2mm thicker.. buuut the problem now is the way my rims are shaped it doesn't allow any clearance on the side of the caliper and inside rim.. i would just be grinding down my rims and new calipers :(... soo looks like new rims are in my future!

Drunkie do you think 38mm offset will be enough? it is hard to find good rims lower then that
 


Well its all down to spoke design...These new wheels I got are 30mm and only clear by 2-3mm, but my old wheels were 32mm and clear by over 10mm. So its really just down to wheel design.
 


Rims are a big issue with this upgrade, I new summer and winter sets. My 20x9 Lexani LSS5's with a +35mm offset didn't fit either. So I added a 1/4" spacer, got it off the lift, went for a cruise up to 60 MPH: no problem, burnout + 380 ft-lbs = 10 bent ass ARP wheel studs :)...these brake are my kriptonite. But damn does the car stop, as good as if not better than my C5 Z! I've come to the conclusion that unless the offset is +20 or similar on a 7.5" rim, the wheel cannot have a lip, the spokes must be as far outward and as thin as possible and even then an 18x7.5 +38s didn't fit either heres the pic of them

I might cut my losses and just throw these on the Vette with some black centenial edition rims, and get some GXP 13"s on the SS :(

If anyone is aware of an inexpensive 18" that will work I'd love to know! now I know why only you GP guys are doing this upgrade with the GXP wheels.
 
ok so i think i narrowed down some rims that should work... think i might be getting these what do yall think
